Wimborne is a historic market town in Dorset dominated by its Norman minster but with roots back to Saxon times. It has been a place of pilgrimage, possibly in part due to the tombs of King Ethelred (brother of Alfred the Great) and those of Henry VII’s grandparents. The town has a thriving market centre and a large antiques market on the outskirts (but beware of the one way system)
The Allendale centre is a community hub comprising a venue/theatre, function rooms and cafe right on the banks of the river. The fair is based across two rooms with an eclectic mix of items available.
