An elegant boxed cutlery set of Victorian featuring 6 teaspoons with sugar tongs – a very traditional antique but perfect as a unique wedding gift perhaps. This set is fully hallmarked for London 1888 including the Queen Victoria head and maker’s mark for Robert Stebbings.
They come in their original retail box with leather cover and push clasp.Inside the box has a rouched silk lining to the lid and an insert style felt base with silk banded edge. Complete set of 6 teaspoons a sweet pair of sugar tongs . The silverware is the classic basic fiddle pattern but all pieces are bright cut/etched with trailing leaf and flower design accented with tiny butterflies.
A very attractive set and not overly extravagant or “Victorian” in style.
This set comes in very good antique condition. All the spoons are undamaged with clear hallmarks (including Queen Victoria’s head). The box shows one tear which has been repaired otherwise the set is in great gift or special occasion condition.
